Uniform

A school uniform is worn and the correct clothing should be obtained from the school. Please place your order with the Principal who will measure your child. Full payment is required on receipt of the order. It is expected that all new pupils will purchase uniform within the first few weeks of starting classes. Please note that the correct Cecchetti ballet uniform is not readily available in dance shops, so please don't rush to buy incorrect uniform elsewhere! The school can also supply correctly fitted ballet shoes.

Ballet uniform - Girls:

School colour Enrico Cecchetti sleeveless leotard
School colour Enrico Cecchetti skirt for Pre-School, Pre-Primary, Primary and Standard 1 classes
School colour belt for Grade 1 upwards (no skirt worn)
Pink ballet socks or tights
Pink ballet hair band
Pink leather ballet shoes with elastic

Ballet Uniform Boys:

White t-shirt
Black/navy shorts
White ballet socks
Black leather ballet shoes with elastic

Ballet shoes are fitted very differently to school shoes. Please ensure that the ballet shoe is fitted snugly without excess material as the leather will ‘give' very quickly and mould itself to the shape of the foot. All ballet shoes need elastic to help keep the shoe on, otherwise children will ‘scrunch' their toes up in an effort to keep the shoe from falling off. Ballet shoe sizing tends to be 1½ sizes up from a school shoe.

Hair should be suitably tied up for class. A bun is expected by girls for ballet with the hair taken away from the face. A pink ballet hairband can be worn if necessary. No jewellery should be worn.
